Identity

The organisation’s name is what your team sees in the switcher and what appears on invoices when no separate company name has been set. Only the owner can change it, and it should be unique — two organisations called “Holdings” in the same switcher are indistinguishable.

Company details

Separate from the name: the legal entity name, an address, and a registration or VAT number. Their only job is to head the invoice we issue you.

They do not gate anything. You can buy credits without filling them in, and checkout never reads them — it collects a billing address of its own, because that is what determines the tax on the sale. Two things follow from that, and both are worth knowing before you rely on this screen:

• Fill them in for your own records and for a tidier invoice, not because a purchase is waiting on them.
• The VAT number here is not the one that affects tax. It is free text on our invoice. If you need a purchase treated as a business-to-business sale, the number to give is the one asked for at checkout, which is validated at the point it changes the price.

Organisation ID

A copyable reference, under Support. It is the first thing support will ask for, and quoting it saves a round trip — particularly for a question about a specific charge, where the alternative is describing your account by name.

Belonging to more than one

One account can be a member of several organisations — a consultant working with three clients, or someone with a personal account and a company one. Each has its own credit balance, its own team, its own tier and its own workspaces; nothing is shared between them, and your role can differ in each.

Switching between them is on your account page, and the switch changes which balance your work spends. It is worth checking which organisation you are in before a large upload. See your account.
