Tiers and limits
A tier is not a plan you buy. It is a ratchet on what you have already spent, and it scales two things — how large a job may be and how much runs at once — never the price of the work, and never how long your documents live.
The ladder

Thresholds are net lifetime spend — cumulative cash paid, less anything refunded or lost to a dispute. Spending more only ever ratchets up; the only way down is getting money back.
What each limit means
- Pages per document. The largest single ingest job. A document over the limit does not ingest — it is not truncated. This is a cap on the size of one job, not a quota: every page is charged at the same one credit whatever your tier.
- Max upload. The largest single file, in megabytes. Scanned PDFs and photographs reach this well before text ones do — a photo straight off a phone is often several megabytes — which is why 1 MB at Starter is tighter than it sounds.
- Concurrent jobs. How many ingest jobs your organisation may have being processed at once. Drop fifty files at Bronze and four are worked on while the rest wait their turn, moving up as slots free. It affects how fast a large batch clears, never whether it clears — a queued job says so, and always runs.
Nothing is deleted automatically
Documents are kept until you delete them or close your account. That is true on every tier, including Starter — nothing expires on a timer, and no tier has a shorter life for your data than any other.
It is worth stating plainly because storage limits are the usual shape of a free tier, and this one does not have that shape. Uploading at Starter to try the product does not put those documents on a clock; if you come back in six months, the workspace is as you left it and the reading you paid for is still done.
Deleting is therefore something you do, and it is immediate: removing a document takes it out of the workspace and out of the rows that pointed at it. What we hold and why, and how to ask for it to be removed, is in the privacy notice.
What tiers deliberately do not do
They never change the price of work. A page costs one credit and a typed cell costs one credit at Starter and at Gold alike — credits already price consumption, and gating the volume of work would block something you had already paid for. See how credits work.
They also do not gate features. There is no table type, output type or sharing level that appears only higher up the ladder, with one exception: assigning the admin role needs Silver, because an admin can spend the balance and see every workspace. Hitting a limit
The two you are most likely to meet are a document over the page limit and a file over the upload size. Both fail at upload rather than partway through, and both are fixed either by splitting the document or by moving up a tier — which, since a tier is spend and spend is credits you keep, costs nothing you would not have spent anyway. The concurrency limit behaves differently from those two, and deliberately so: it is the only one you can exceed without anything failing. Upload more at once than your tier processes in parallel and the surplus is marked Queued and picked up as slots free. Nothing is refused and nothing needs resubmitting — you have already paid for those pages, so the tier governs how quickly the work drains rather than whether it happens at all.
